The network diagram for OPS535 labs
Each students' host machine has a DHCP address assigned by Seneca's network, along with a static address access to the outside world (172i.16e.X.1the internet) based on what their own network number given in blackboardor ISP provides. They also have a virtual network (192.168.x.0/24) connecting their host machine to their VMs, and to every other students' virtual networks. Their host machine allows connections between this network and the software defined network so that some of the services we configure will be accessible across the entire class networkoutside world. Each student also has a second virtual network (192.168.(x+100).0/24) that is only accessible by their own machines. This is the virtual network that was is created in the pre-lab, and is used to provide services that we want to be available to our own users only. Each student has a third virtual network, (192.168.(x+200).0/24 that will connect their assignment machines to their host, and through it to the lab network and the internet.
