Introduction

Hello and welcome to my wiki page! My name is Kerry M. Singh and I'm in my final year of the Computer Programming and Analysis diploma program at Seneca@York.

Mozilla Project

My Mozilla project involved creating a Localized Search in Firefox's Search Box. Firefox features a search box that can be customized to work with different search engines (e.g., Google, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, etc.). Most web sites have their own search facilities, but the location of the search box on the page varies from web site to web site. My project goal was to create a mechanism for Firefox to detect a web site's search box and make it accessible to the user through Firefox's search box so that users have a consistent place to locate site-specific searches.
