The purpose of this resource is to help instruct Linux users how to make and edit video recordings using the Ubuntu Studio Linux distribution.

There are various applications to use (which will be added to this tutorial) including:

  • Cinelerra (Non-Linear Editor)
  • Cheese (webcam photo capture)
  • recordmydesktop / gtk-recordmydesktop (Used to capture desktop or application window activity and store in video format)
  • menencoder (Utility used to convert various video file formats)
