==== Full or Part-Time Research Assistant(s) - OSTEP Team ====
We are seeking:
* a full-time summer student research assistant, or
* two part-time (16-20 hours/week) research assistants
This position is for the [[OSTEP]] team and is focused on a project that involves:
* the setup and configuration of Linux services (ntpd, httpd, samba, nfs, and so forth) - approx 75%
* software/script development in Python - approx 25%
RAs may be assigned to various projects within the OSTEP Applied Research program according to project needs.
The successful candidate will have:
* Linux system administration and configuration skills
* Software development/scripting skills
** Python experience is preferred
** Consideration will be given to candidates with C/C++/Java/Bash skills who are willing to learn Python
In addition, any of these skills will be considered an asset:
* working with open source communities
* Git
* configuration management and orchestration (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
