The Freedom Toaster was created to make it easy for Seneca College students to quickly burn CD/DVD installation media for some of their courses.

This device is easy to use, the user just touches screen and follow instructions in order to burn their CD/DVDs.

The Freedom Toaster is located in the TEL OPEN LAB.

ATTENTION:

  • Only BackTrack (version 4.1) is currently available...
    (BackTrack version 5.2 is recommended)
  • This device does not work with DVD-R (It is recommended to use DVD+R when burning DVDs with the Freedom Toaster).
  • Patience is required, the procedure should take approx. 7 minutes to complete. For example, do not worry if you are waiting for over 5 minutes while screen still indicates that "less than one minute" is remaining.
The Freedom Toaster is located in the TEL Open Lab.
Fedora 16 (64-bit) DVD, and Fedora 16 (64-bit) LIVE CD is located on the right-side of the touch screen.
Patience is required, the procedure should take approx. 7 minutes to complete.
